Bon Bon and Twist

While watching Pinkie Pride, I noticed something and several gears began turning and Twisting around in my head. During Cheese Sandwich's flash back that explains how he first got into partying, the camera does a panning view of all of the younger fillies that were at the party. You can see filly versions of Derpy Hooves, Cheerilee, and Bon Bon. I suggest going back and watching that scene because these fillies are ADORABLE.

So, who here remembers Twist? The filly who was Apple Bloom's partner in crime for a bit, until she decided that she was "too cool" to hang with a blank flank? The cream colored filly with a red curly mane, a cream coat, pink eyes, and purple glasses?

I'm looking at you, Peppermint Twist.  ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

Now, who's a fan of THIS mare? The Ponyville Confectioner? One with a certain blue and pink mane, perhaps?

For those of you who know where I'm going with this, stay quiet. In the scene that I was talking about earlier, first paragraph, filly Bon Bon was seen. This is what she looks like.

Obviously, some physical traits are already immediately noticed. The muzzle and glasses, being the first two I saw. Now, there is also a screenshot of Twist that looks almost exactly the same.

Seriously, I think the took the same photo, changed the mane, and recoloured the eyes, coat, and glasses.

Now, here is the actual HeadCanon theory that I have. Twist is the daughter of, or younger sister to, Bon Bon. This is a pretty clear cut and dry theory, but one I feel very strongly about. Their filly versions are the exact same body shape, they share a similar profession (Confectioners), and seem to be pretty exclusive to the ones they hang out with. Twist is shown to have a small group of friends, if any at all. Bon Bon is seen to hang out with Lyra quite a bit. That's pretty much the basis of the theory I have. Sisters, or mother and daughter. -Prismatic Light

Concerning Alicorns......

Alright...... Head cannon time. This is one that has certainly become increasingly popular since the Season 3 Finale....... And one I feel to be very important. Alicorns have puzzled several people, mostly because of Princess Cadence. During Twilight Sparkle's flashback to her filly-hood, we see our first look at Princess Cadence. She doesn't appear to be that old, but then again, neither do Celestia or Luna. But she does appear to be on the cusp of adolescence in these scenes, mostly because of her voice, the hair bows that she later out-grows, and how her body is somewhat in between that of the Mane Six's, and a filly such as the CMC.

But after Twily's flashback, a much older Cadence is shown. even though this is just an imposter, the body style and shape remains the same. As we can see from the picture below, there is quite a difference. One of the most prominent features to me, are the wings. Notice the purple tips? And she  is also wearing her crown, necklace, and golden neck crest. Overall, the present day Cadence has aged, seemingly along with Twilight Sparkle.

So why am I obsessing over Cadence's physical appearance? Because in multiple flashbacks, Celestia and Luna are shown to not age. We never see them as fillies, or even teenagers, such as we do with Cadence. We know that they are at least 1,000 years old, but not much is known after that.

I believe I watched a video in where an Analyst came up their own HeadCanon about this rare and regal race of Ponies. In that video, they believed that there were Alpha Alicorns, and then the Beta Alicorns. Celestia and Luna being the Alpha, with Cadence and Twilight Sparkle being the Betas. They also said that, "It is clear that Alicorns are clearly made, not born."

This seems to be a fairly relevant and decent way to cope with the surrounding lore of Alicorns. I do not believe this to be the case, however. As I previously stated, Tia and Lulu are not shown to age at all, while Cadence clearly does. Cadence was also made into an Alicorn, just like Twilight was. Cadence has aged. This means that, if the writers don't screw it up, Twilight will age just like Cadence, and will not outlive her friends.

I feel like Alicorns are one of the biggest mysteries that Friendship is magic has to offer. They are incredibly powerful, and in charge of physical things (i.e. The Sun and The Moon.) but also emotions that are important for the protection and development in Equestria. (i.e. Love and Friendship.) Hopefully, more will be exposed about these Legendary Ponies and Leaders in the upcoming Seasons! I realize that there weren't many things in this post that were actually HeadCanons for myself, but I feel like the subject of Alicorns is one that needs more, and deserves more, exposition and history behind. -Prismatic Light

Rainbow Dash's Mother

While watching Read It And Weep, I noticed something. Earlier this morning, I was looking through the titles of the future episodes that are to come in Season Four. The next episode, I noticed, was called Daring Don't. The summary of the episode is that when awaiting the release of the new Daring Do book, it gets delayed. The Mane Six gets in touch with the author and learns that she is in need of some special assistance. That's all I know about it.

During Games Ponies Play, RD is seen in a flashback to be standing next to a purple stallion with a rainbow colored mane and a cutie mark resembling speed or flight. It has been assumed that this stallion is her father. Some say that the mare to the left of her could be her mother, but I believe I have a better answer. Obviously, anyone can see the resemblance between Daring Do and Rainbow Dash.

Perhaps the special assistance that the author of the book series is finding her daughter. Here's the Head Canon that I have. When Dashie was young, way before getting her Cutie Mark, her mother left. It wasn't because of Rainbow, but because her and her father weren't that similar any more. After leaving, her mother missed her little Dashie terribly. She began writing stories of how she thought Dashie might turn out to be. Eventually though, her stories became more intense and more fantastical than she had ever dreamed. Changing the main character drastically, she made the stories into novels. She called the main mare Daring Do, given how daring and adventurous her little filly had been. After many many years of staying out of touch with RD, she decided it was time to get some 'special assistance' finding her.

Honestly, this probably makes the most sense. Look at how similar the two look! They're so alike, yet so contrasting. Even down to the colors! On the color wheel, cyan and yellow-orange are opposite each other! And what's the opposite of a rainbow? Black and Grey! The rose eye colour is the same as well! Even the VOICE is similar! Princess Celestia and Luna's Parents

The majority of the things that I'll be talking about are in the episode, Hearth's Warming Eve, Season two episode eleven. Obviously, this will contain spoilers for this episode, so if you haven't seen it, I highly suggest watching it. It isn't, however, required for you to have seen it to know what I'm talking about as I'll be explaining the references as I go.

So this is the first of my head canon posts, and I feel like it will be one of the most important. So while watching the episode a few days back, I noticed something that probably not many Bronies have taken into consideration: the flag placed by Pinkie Pie and Rarity.

In the very first episode, the very first scene even, we see this image in the book that Twilight is reading to us:

Then, at the end of Hearth's Warming Eve, Rarity and Pinkie are helping set up this flag:

See how the second one can be mistaken for the first?

Most Bronies don't take the time to actually look at the COLORS of the alicorns, just the sun and moon, and their positions that resemble the first image. But I did. So here's my head canon:

In the episode, Spike never specifies WHEN this took place, but I'm going to suggest that it happened several thousand years before Luna and Celestia, given how barbaric the writers made the ponies seem. It was also before Tia and Lulu controlled the sun and the moon, because the unicorn tribes did that. Because we see the two alicorns on the flag, we know that they still exist. So I think that they are left to deal with other matters. But that really isn't the point of this head cannon, now is it? No, I'm suggesting that, given the similar coat and mane colors, the ponies on the flag ARE Celestia and Luna's parents. Want more evidence? Fine. On the first flag, the sun is above the moon. Same on the second one. Because we knew that Tia controlled the sun, and Lulu the moon, it's not unreasonable to guess that the teal-maned alicorn controls the sun and the purple-maned one controls the moon.

Now, take a look at their coat colors. Tia has a white coat, has a pink mane, and controls the sun. Luna has a dark blue coat, a light blue mane, and controls the moon. The second sun-controlling alicorn has a white coat and a teal mane. The second moon-controlling alicorn has a dark blue coat and a purple mane. It seems that Tia and Lulu inherited their parents' coat colors. I'm just going to guess, but I'm willing to say the the teal-maned alicorn is their father, and the purple-maned alicorn is the mother, but there really is no way of knowing. So Luna inherited a lighter colored mane from her father, and Celestia a lighter colored mane from her mother. -Prismatic Light (By the way, this is one of my older HeadCanons, from the original blog.)
